Sparkes Design: The Story

Hey babe!

You may have been following our Instagram or Facebook accounts and wondered what is Sparkes Design? We have decided to launch a series of blog posts discussing who we are, what we stand for, and where we are from. So, we will start with a brief introduction to Sparkes Design.

Sparkes Design is a jewelry business located in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, focused on the design and manufacture of distinct, timeless, hand-crafted jewelry collections using semi-precious and exotic stones. 

Kim Paddon started a boutique 10 years ago and, through retailing jewelry at Whink, was inspired to create her own jewelry line. This lead to her first collection within Sparkes Design - the stunning Dory Blue Labradorite Collection. This collection takes the provincial mineral labradorite and carefully hand places the stone into one-of-a-kind, luxury jewelry. Since, Sparkes Design has continued to evolve and incorporate other stones such as moonstone, ruby, turquoise, and white topaz. 

The goal?

To showcase the natural, rugged beauty of Newfoundland and Labrador in an artistic jewelry line for everyone.
